Cogent Steps at the 2026 Race Directors’ Meeting

Cogent Steps is excited to be part of the 2026 Race Directors’ Meeting, taking place December 7–9 at the Hollywood Beach Marriott in Hollywood, Florida. Our own Dr. Shelly Weinstein will join the meeting faculty, bringing her expertise in sports medicine and emergency response to a gathering of race directors, event officials, sponsors, and other professionals who help make road races possible.

Shelly will be participating in the session titled “Medical Planning for Endurance Events.” Session description: A critical factor in determining your future medical plan is capturing data from your medical operation. Learn effective and efficient ways to collect information about medical encounters and how to use this information to create best practices, to assist in generating policies and better protocols, and to align the medical plan with the overall race plan. Our speaker also will review recent trends in medical encounters at events to enable events to be better prepared for the unexpected.

The three-day event brings together race directors, event officials, sponsors, media, public relations and event marketing professionals, and industry exhibitors with an interest in the road running marketplace. It offers an opportunity for race professionals to learn from industry experts, exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and connect with colleagues from across the running community. Attendees can also explore the two-day Race Directors’ Trade Exhibit to discover products and services designed to support their events.
