Cogent Steps at the 2026 ACSM Annual Meeting
The Cogent Steps is on the ground at the 2026 American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, and we are proud to have two team members contributing to this year’s program.
Founder and CEO Dr. Shelly Weinstein will be presenting research on running-related medical conditions and injuries from the Marine Corps Marathon as part of Session G-35: “Sport Specific Conditions.” And we also have our Medical Director, Dr. Matthew Sedgley, contributing as a discussant in Session D-15: “A Leg to Stand On” — a session exploring complex lower extremity cases ranging from chronic exertional compartment syndrome to popliteal artery entrapment in competitive athletes.
Their involvement reflects Cogent Steps’ ongoing commitment to advancing evidence-based education and improving emergency care for athletes. The ACSM Annual Meeting is one of the leading gatherings in sports medicine, bringing together clinicians, researchers, and educators from around the world to share knowledge and shape the future of athlete care. We’re excited to be part of the conversation shaping the future of athlete care—let us know if you’ll be there.
