An Overview of Emergency Response in Adaptive Sports
This 1-day course is intended for athletic trainers, physical therapists, physicians, other rehabilitation professionals, educators, and students. Featured speakers from various levels of competition in adaptive sports will discuss similarities and differences in incidence, injury, evaluation, and care of athletes. Lab time will include hands-on training in acute injury and illness, equipment removal, spine boarding and allow students to become more familiar with the equipment.
