An Overview of Emergency Response in Adaptive Athletes

Cogent Steps is thrilled to be partnering with Mass General Brigham Sports Medicine to sponsor a course on the “Overview of Emergency Response in Adaptive Sports.” This course will feature guest speakers from the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

This 1-day course is intended for athletic trainers, physical therapists, physicians, other rehabilitation professionals, educators, and students. Featured speakers from various levels of competition in adaptive sports will discuss similarities and differences in incidence, injury, evaluation, and care of athletes. Lab time will include hands-on training in acute injury and illness, equipment removal, spine boarding and allow students to become more familiar with the equipment.
